I know I know, what is this all bout? Sticking a bright purple vegetable into an otherwise perfectly sweet, gooey chocolate brownie! Let me explain - by adding the beetroot you reduce both the amount of sugar and fat needed to make it, your body will absorb less 'bad' fat, and it also makes it even 'gooier'! Winner all round then! 

 

So, you will need to provide: 

  • 100g butter (not low fat spread)

  • 250g caster sugar

  • 100g plain flour

  • 3 eggs

  • 200g dark chocolate (not milk chocolate like galaxy or dairy milk. These chocolate bars have too much fat in and will cause the brownie to split)

 

Room 6 will be providing: (Please bring 50p to cover the cost)

  • Beetroot

  • Cocoa powder
